Doobie Brothers Cycles was their debut release on Capitol Records after a long relationship with Warner Brothers Records. The album was released on May 17, 1989, (nearly 30 years ago now) by Capitol Records. It marked the band’s reunion after breaking up in 1982. This award is the real deal. The hit songs on Cycles were. One Chain (Don’t Make No Prison). Take Me to the Highway. South of the Border. Need a Little Taste of Love. I Can Read Your Mind. Tonight, I’m Coming Through (The Border). Too High a Price. This award is in good condition. There are some rub/scratch marks on the front top of the black lacquer frame as well as a bump (noted in red). On the plexiglass (front of the award) there is a blemish/rub on the plexiglass front (came that way when I received it). Lower left corner edge of the frame has a blemish/rub mark as well. The back of the award (again, noted in red) has some issues but theyre not visible when its hanging on the wall, It doesnt affect the look or display or the award. Considering this award has been moved and boxed several times from city to city, (and now) nearly 30 years old, its in good shape. The award measures 17 wide by 20 7/8 top to bottom, this would look amazing in any music room, rec-room, bar area, man-cave, womans sanctuary etc. Its a definite conversation piece. These authentic awards, with the real RIAA hologram dont become available to often, dont miss out on this rare opportunity to own a piece of music history! Award has been in a smoke free and pet free home. The item “Doobie Brothers Cycles RIAA Gold Record Award” is in sale since Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
