Anthrax I’m The Man RIAA Gold Record Award which was certified by the RIAA on 8/19/1988 to commemorate the sale of more than 500,000 copies of the Megaforce Island Records album and cassette, “I’m The Man”. “I’m The Man” went on to receive platinum status in 1993 and to date is the only Anthrax album to do so. Anthrax are considered one of the “Big Four” thrash metal bands along side Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer. This award is quite rare and 31 years old, it has been in my collection proudly on the wall for years now and I must trim down a bit for space limitations as I have run out of room. The award is in great condition and upon inspection I only see one small flaw with some light marks at the top of the frame which were there when I acquired it (see 9th photo). On the back there is also a mark where a label was on the left and on the right the label shows some wear (see 11th and 12th photo)(how I acquired it). The size of the award is 17″ x 21″ and includes a stunning gold record, a gold cassette and a plaque with the official RIAA hologram logo.
