This award commemorates the sale of over 500,000 copies of the album LOVE GUN, on Casablanca Records. This album was certified gold by RIAA on June 30, 1977. This award was presented to KISS’ early costume designer, Maria Contessa of Contessa Studios in New York. Included is an original COA hand-signed by Maria Contessa, and her personal business card. Maria has also added her autograph to the backside of the award. This authentic RIAA award is in original black wood frame, and measures 17 1/4″ x 21 1/4″. Hardly noticed, but award was previously mounted on her wall, so the black frame has two mounting holes that have since been filled in. Otherwise in excellent condition, with no damage.
