Extremely rare, vintage OFFICIAL AUTHENTIC RIAA-CERTIFIED Gold Record Award for the classic 1975 Emmylou Harris album Elite Hotel. The award measures approx. The award was made in the 1970s. The album was presented to and acquired from the estate of the late Mary Martin in Nashville. Martin is an important figure in rock and country music history. She was a longtime friend of Emmylou’s and signed her to her first recording contract with Warner Bros. Martin was also an early manager of Leonard Cohen and Van Morrison, and was responsible for first introducing Bob Dylan to The Band in the 1960s when she worked for Dylan’s manager at the time. Condition (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY). The award is intact with all original artwork elements and is in very good condition. There are some very light scuff marks on the glass but they are small. There is also some light wear to the frame. Please note the craft paper that originally covered the back of the award is missing.
