It’s very tough to find any white matte RIAA award for Neil Diamond. This one is for his 1971 album “Stones” which was his seventh studio album. It took four months, but when it was done, it was one of the most satisfying songs I had ever written. This unique award is presented to his record label MCA Records, Inc. To commemorate the sale of more than one million dollars worth of the Uni Records long-playing records album “STONES”. This award is original and measures 18″ x 22″ and is in very good condition overall. Specifically, the frame has scuffs and scratches and a drill hole in the top center (where it apparently hung on a wall). The paper backing has been replaced at some point and has tears (as noted). Also, if you look closely, there is some “spotting” of the gold record and the brass plate. Please see my photos.
